March, 1991: M. Sc. in Geology (Mineralogy and petrology) Cairo University.
March, 1996 :
Ph.D in Geology (Mineralogy and Petrology) Cairo University.
September, 2001: Assistant Professor, Geology Department, Faculty of Science , Cairo University.
2006- Now: Professor of ore Geology and Ore Mineralogy, Faculty of Earth Sciences, Department of Mineral Resources and Rocks; King AbdullAziz University, Saudi Arabia.
Fields of Interests:
Genesis and mechanism of formation of the stratiform and stratabound deposits: Ironstontes; Glaucony facies and the associated ironstone, manganese and alunite deposits; Phosphorite deposits. The Precambrian volcano-sedimentary basins and related mineralization i.e. Banded Iron Formation (BIF), Volcanogenic Massive Sulphides (VMS). The intimate relation between subaerial and subaqeous volcanisms and the contemporaneous sedimentary processes. The mineral authigenesis and diagenetic processes involved in the formation of stratiform ore deposits. The evolution of the marine sedimentary basins.
