Research Interests
1- The genesis and classification and rock association of the world-wide types of ore deposits.
2-The stratigraphic setting and mechanism of formation of the straiform and strataboud ore deposits.
3-The role of the depositional and diagenetic processes in the formation of the stratiform and strataboud ore deposits.
4- The stratigraphic setting, rock association and mineral paragenesis of the volcano-sedimentary and weathering related ore deposits.
5- Prof. Ali Abdel Latif Mesaed (A. A. Mesaed) are actively shared as a one of the Cairo University group of the Iron Exploration Project (IEP) which has been funded by the ministries of industry and petroleum in the time period between 1993-1997. The found of this project (2 million Egyptian Pounds: 400.000 for Cairo University group and 1.600.000 pounds for the Egyptian geologic survey).
6- Dr. A. A. Mesaed have been shared in the mineralogical and geochemical studies of Aswan Iron Ore deposits which have been worked between Cairo University and the Institute of metallurgical Researches in Helwan.
7- Dr. A. A. Mesaed is one of the group of the Phanerozoic ore deposits group of the project of the Metallogenic map of Egypt founded by the Academy of Scientific Research (1989-1994).
8- Dr. Mesaed shared in the field works group of EREX in the Oil Exploration in Southern Egypt.
